For the protection of both patients and staff we will continue to be observing social distancing measures within the practice .

We are always available for tele-consultation, so if you are experiencing a dental issue and would like to know whether you meet the criteria for treatment or are simply looking for some guidance on the best way to manage your condition, please don't hesitate to contact us on 07 3236 2984 or send us an email to reception@brisbanedental.com.au

Brisbane Dental is closely monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in Australia and would like to provide an update in regards to the measures we are undertaking to ensure the ongoing health and safety and well-being of our staff, patients and the wider community.
Brisbane Dental adheres to the recommendations provided by the Australian Dental Association (ADA) which currently provides for treatment under Level 1 Restrictions.
To ensure the ongoing safety of our patients and staff we have supplemented our already exceptionally high standards in sterilisation and cross-infection protocols with a number of changes in our standard practice processes. This includes:
-
Prior to making an appointment we talk to our patients about their recent medical and travel history and that of the people they have been in contact with;
-
Any patient identified as at risk will be requested to postpone their appointment until cleared by a medical professional as non-contagious;
-
We are scheduling longer appointments or leaving gaps between appointments to minimise contact with fellow patients and to allow for more comprehensive cleaning of our treatment rooms and other common areas;
-
On entry/re-entry and prior to departure all staff and patients are required to use hand sanitiser for at least 20 seconds;
-
At the commencement of the dental treatment all patients will be required to rinse with an anti-viral mouth wash for 20 seconds;
-
The use of a rubber dam where appropriate to decrease possible exposure to airborne pathogens;
-
The use of high-speed suction for dental procedures that produce aerosols;
-
At departure patients will be asked to swipe their own Private Health Card and to wave/insert their own bank card in the EFTPOS terminal;

The health and safety and well-being of our staff, patients and community continues to be our top priority and we thank you for your cooperation.
